If you’ve ever dreamed about truly submerging yourself in the Costa Rican culture and experiencing PURA VIDA first hand, here is your opportunity! This charming property is located in the tranquil fishing/farming village of Bajo La Paz. With a population of under 100 folks, Bajo La Paz represents the ability to enjoy a genuine Costa Rican experience. You can practice your Spanish with the local Tico families while eating fresh tropical fruits and listening to the soothing sounds of  Rio La Paz (Peace River). The village is far off the “tourist trail”, yet it does not give you a sense of isolation. There are plenty of friendly neighbors living nearby and there is a vast array of exotic wildlife to enjoy. At an elevation of about 3,750 feet, Bajo La Paz offers one of the most diverse ecosystems in the world. The village is surrounded by rolling green hillsides, lush pastures, and cloud forest. The natural beauty of the valley is astounding…If you desire a break from all the serenity, the center of San Ramon is only a 20-minute drive (17.5 kms) down the hill.

This tranquil piece of real estate consists of approximately 1,000 square meters (1/4 acre) and has impressive flower gardens and nature paths.

There are two driveways and one covered parking space. The casa has a comfortable 108 square meters (1,163 square feet) of space “under roof”. The covered front patio area is a wonderful place to spend time soaking up all the glories of nature and breathing in the fresh air.

The main bedroom is on the 2nd floor with it’s own private bathroom, while everything else is located on the 1st floor. This layout works very well if you’re entertaining guests overnight. In fact, the casa is currently being used as a small b&b if you have interest in generating some extra revenue. Horseback riding and A.T.V. tours are available at moderate prices with local guides and it provides a nice option for visitors who desire a closer look at the valley.

A German-made Seibel “on demand” water heater provides hot water throughout the entire home. Wireless Internet service and a telephone land line are already in place. Title to the property and all utilities are in the name of a Costa Rican corporation for ease of transfer. This is a great deal isn’t it?!? It gets better… this property is being sold as 100% turn-key. All furnishings, appliances, utensils, linens, etc. are being included in the sale! You literally need only pack some clothes and a toothbrush to make your transition to paradise…

***Price of $69,500 USD includes all furnishings, appliances, utensils, linens, etc. A detailed list of included items will be provided prior to closing. Property is titled in a Costa Rican corporation for ease of transfer.

***An adjoining 1/4 acre of coffee, vegetable, and bean plants can be purchased along with this property for $19,500 USD additional, making the real estate package for the entire 1/2 acre cost only $89,000 USD! PURA VIDA!!!

I will be in La Paz the third week of March. Friends of mine are interested in this property, but would like me to look at it for them before they make a trip there. Can you tell me where this is located in La Paz?

    Thank you,
